The Position: CI Specialist

Role Purpose: The CI Specialist actively pursues continuous improvement, and cost savings initiatives autonomously.

Reporting to: Director of Operations

Key Responsibilities :

  • Pursue Continuous Improvement projects that will contribute to bottom line company performance improvements
  • Pursue Cost Savings initiatives that will contribute to bottom line company performance improvements
  • Work with the Director of Operations to quantify results, effects, and tracking of projects/initiatives executed
  • Suggest & Implement technology and automation in the production facility
  • Proactively develop and / or evaluate new techniques to increase productivity and efficiency. Implement change
  • Liaise with other departments as required to plan and execute projects
  • Comply with all company, customer, and legislative food safety, health & safety, and environmental policies and procedures
  • Support Scientific Research & Experimental Development (SRED) data collection
  • Other duties as required by the business

Required Education, Skills, and Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years experience in a production environment
  • Solid working knowledge of production processes
  • Post-secondary degree in Engineering Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related discipline will be considered an asset
  • Demonstrated success in Continuous Improvement theory and application
  • Superior communication skills in a multicultural environment and the ability to deal with a variety of front-line industrial relations issues
  • The flexibility to adapt to a dynamic operation schedule.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central, Google G Suite, MS Office, BI or equivalents
  • Strong knowledge of applicable Health and Safety regulations

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
