As a Project Manager, you will be pivotal in overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of AI projects and software products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including software developers, data scientists, product leaders, and clients, to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope and budget. Your role will involve coordinating resources, managing timelines, mitigating risks, and ensuring clear communication across all stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage AI software development projects from initiation to closure
- Manage software product developments
- Plan, direct, and coordinate scope, objectives, and project deliverables with stakeholders
- Develop detailed level-of-effort estimates, WBS, project plans and KPIs
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and progress toward project goals
- Monitor project performance, track progress, and manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs
- Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues that could impact project success
- Facilitate effective communication between team members, stakeholders, and clients
- Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations
- Prepare and present regular project status minutes, actions, and reports to stakeholders and management
- Foster a collaborative and productive team environment
- Other duties as assigned

- Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, Engineering, Business, or a related field
- 2 years of experience in project management, preferably in software development or AI-related projects
- Ability to work cohesively and professionally within a team-based structure
- Detail-oriented self-starter who can be trusted with project-critical tasks and paths
- Experience working in software development lifecycles, such as predictive, iterative, and incremental software development lifecycles
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects with strict deadlines and multiple stakeholders
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in project management tools like Jira and Microsoft Project
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Required to meet qualifications to obtain a Canadian Government security clearance (typically requires the candidate to be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada)
- PMP, ScrumMaster, or similar certification is a plus
- Ability to communicate in French would be a plus
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working in an agile development environment
- Familiarity with AI/ML tools and frameworks
- Knowledge of data privacy and security considerations in IT projects
- Experience with client-facing roles and managing client relationships
