Job Overview
The primary responsibility of this role is to manage the governance processes, metrics, reporting, data, and continuous improvement projects in relationship with our 3PL provider at the Canadian Distribution Centers. They play a key role in ensuring that the requirements and business processes associated with the 3PL provider function smoothly, while also ensuring that issues and risks are identified and managed efficiently. The position will play a major role with DQM compliance, audit preparedness, utilization strategies, reconciliation, and root cause analysis.
This role will drive and ensure continuity within the supply chain function to help meet short- and long-term goals by proactively predicting, understanding, improving, and controlling operational goals and process changes to deliver results.
This role will work cross-functionally with both the region and market operations. The role demands a focus and concentration on continuous improvement.
What are we looking for?

Bachelor’s degree in business or supply chain related fields

Six Sigma/Lean Certification – Preferred

What will be your key responsibilities?
-
In conjunction with the Logistics Manager develop and implement effective metrics with regular reporting schedules.

Communicate and manage reporting and metrics adherence of 3PL providers.

Identify/champion continuous improvement projects directly related to the 3PL Distribution Centre Operations.

Monitor and audit operations invoices and adherence to budget.

Support training on Royal Canin procedures with 3PL associates.

Responsible for supporting and working with the 3PL provider in the maintenance and development of contingency plans in the event of unforeseen interruptions in the Distribution Centre Operations.

Implement business procedures, best practices, and internal controls necessary to ensure 3PL compliance to minimize business and legal risk, including creation of SOP's and documented procedures.

Establish and manage risk assessments and audit procedures.

Lead the analysis and provide statistical information on the tracking of product shipments, returns, and inventory.

Ensuring that the quality of all services provided by the 3PL meets the required standards.

In conjunction with the Logistics Manager prepare, maintain, coordinate, and provide insights on budget and future costs based on market changes, etc.

Perform daily/weekly/monthly on-site assessment audits to ensure 3PL is following compliance standards set by Royal Canin.

Participate and prepare for Internal and external Supply Chain Audits both for Royal Canin and for 3PL providers.
