Working in the eprocurement sector, we are currently looking for a Sales Analyst to join our team. As a Sales Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing the efficiency of our sales team.
Your primary responsibility will be to oversee sales data management, maintain data consistency, and ensure the seamless operation of sales tools and systems. You will be the go-to expert for Salesforce data management, reporting, and analysis, supporting the sales team in achieving their targets through reporting and actionable insights. Additionally, you will be instrumental in preparing reports, dashboards, and presentations for Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and other strategic meetings. Your role will encompass various aspects of sales enablement, including training and support to enhance the productivity and performance of the sales team.
What will your main responsibilities look like?
In this role, you will be led to:
- Report and Dashboard Preparation: Develop and maintain a suite of reports and dashboards to provide insights into sales performance, pipeline analysis, forecasting accuracy, and other key metrics. Customize reports to meet the specific needs of various stakeholders.
- Quarterly Business Review (QBR) Preparation: Collaborate with sales leadership to prepare comprehensive presentations and analysis for QBRs and other strategic meetings. Synthesize data into actionable insights and recommendations to drive business decisions.
- Sales Tools Oversight: Implement, manage, and optimize sales tools and systems, including Salesforce CRM, to support the sales team in their daily activities. Serve as the subject matter expert for sales tools, overseeing data hygiene, user management, and functional requirements. Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement within Salesforce.
- Sales Data Management: Take ownership of global sales data, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency across all systems and platforms. Regularly audit data to identify and rectify discrepancies.
- Sales Enablement: Develop and deliver tools, resources, and materials to enable the sales team to leverage tools and data effectively. Provide ongoing support and guidance to address the sales team’s needs and challenges.
- Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to streamline processes and policies, improve efficiency, and enhance the overall effectiveness of sales operations. Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in sales operations and technology.
What elements of your professional background will be necessary and useful in this role?
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, information systems, or related field.
- Proven experience in sales operations, data analysis, or related roles.
- Deep understanding of sales concepts (funnel, ratios, forecast, etc.).
- Proficiency in Salesforce CRM and other sales tools (e.g., Gong, Salesloft, Tableau, Microsoft Power BI).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on data accuracy and quality.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to build relationships and work cross-functionally with various teams.
