Requirements:
Solid customer service focus with experience providing support to remote users
Strong team ethic where team members offer support and reach out for assistance to provide the best possible response for a client in distress
Ability to project a professional and positive image through excellent oral, written, and presentation skills
Ability to use existing documentation to resolve problems and to create clear procedures when a new issue is encountered through the use of flowcharts, network design documents, diagrams, and charts
Ability to recognize trends in problems and recommend proactive changes to keep problems from recurring, or minimize the impact cost-effectively if they cannot be avoided
Solid professional behaviour that respects confidentiality and privacy
Ability to identify when clients can benefit from a new or different technical service
Ability to travel to client sites when required to respond to an urgent problem or to participate in a project installing new tools and solutions (valid driver's license and vehicle are required)
Technical Skills:
Deep understanding of networking, windows server environments, virtualization, terminal service deployment for applications, and support for standard server applications, including:
Windows Servers (all recent versions)
VMWare, Hyper-V
Server Backup Experience (Veeam Backup & Replication)
Strong understanding of Active Directory, Group Policies
Strong understanding of Microsoft Exchange Deployments
SCCM or similar management systems
DFS File sharing
Storage Array Networks (Physical and Virtual)
Qualifications:
Post-secondary program in Computer Sciences Information Technology
MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) certification preferred
Certifications in VMware (VSP, VTSP, VCP) and Microsoft (MCP) beneficial
Knowledge of the following considered an asset:
Switching technologies (Foritgate, Cisco, HPE/Aruba)
VLAN networking Design and Implementation
Firewall technologies (Fortigate, Juniper, Cisco, etc)
Wireless technologies (Mikrotik, Cisco, Aruba)
Basic Spam filter management
Linux server management
