POSITION TITLE: IT Support Technician

Brief Overview:
Métis Nation–Saskatchewan (MN–S) is looking for an individual that has a passion for providing IT supports, is an exceptional communicator, and is a natural problem solver. Under the direction of the IT Manager, the IT Support Technician is responsible for assisting in the development and execution of technical and operational IT supports to current and future information technology systems and infrastructure. To be successful in this position, you’ll need to be committed to quality standards and be able to work well both independently and as part of a team on solutions in a changing IT landscape.
Key Responsibilities:

Installation, configuration, and maintenance of end-user workstation hardware, software, and peripheral devices.

Troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to internal IT.

Assist helpdesk support and follow through resolutions to end-user's satisfaction.

Support other departments in their development and use of IT systems and resources.

Any other duties and responsibilities as directed by the IT Manager or Deputy Chief of Administrative Transformation.
Qualifications and Experience:

Working knowledge of computer systems, networks, software, and hardware.

Post-secondary education in Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline is an asset.

A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a similar role.

A combination of relevant experience and education will be considered an asset.
Knowledge and Skills:

Exceptionally proficient in Microsoft 365.

Knowledge of strategic and operational planning.

Additional Requirements:

The position is based on a 37.5-hour work week Monday through Friday.

A valid Saskatchewan driver’s license and/or access to reliable transportation to our downtown location at 310 20th St E Saskatoon would be required.
