Cleaner (part-time)

Availability: Looking for 2-3 days a week, 8:30AM-5PM availability

[PLEASE READ BEFORE APPLYING] A day in the life of a Day-Time Cleaner:

Our Cleaners start their scheduled shift at HQ-House in Acton, clock-in for the day & pick up their cleaning kits. Each cleaner does anywhere from 1-3 cleans (residential homes or offices) per day, all scheduled and managed through our app. Cleans are located around the Halton Region (Milton, Acton, Oakville, Burlington etc.). Your day ends back at HQ-House, where you return your kit and clock out. This job requires a cleaner to lift and carry a cleaning kit vacuum up flights of stairs, access to a car to drive to appointments and a smartphone to manage work through the app.

Training:

All cleaners go through hands-on training in our cleaning protocols, meet regularly with their assigned Field Supervisor.

Responsibilities:
- Perform residential (client homes) and commercial cleaning tasks in various homes/facilities throughout the Halton Region, always starting and ending your days at HQ-House.

- Follow established cleaning procedures and safety guidelines
- Complete assigned tasks within specified timeframes
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas
- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners
- Dust and wipe down surfaces, including desks, tables, and windowsills
- Vacuum carpets and mop hard floors
- Perform heavy lifting as required for moving furniture or equipment
- Provide excellent customer service to clients and respond to their requests or concerns promptly and professionally

- Sometimes use power tools and hand tools to complete cleaning and maintenance tasks

Requirements:

- Must be able to drive to multiple locations in one day, have a valid Ontario driver's license (G2 or G level), car and phone
- Previous experience in residential/commercial cleaning or custodial work preferred
- Able to lift 30lbs up a flight of stairs (i.e. cleaning equipment)
- Strong time management skills to complete tasks efficiently
- Excellent communication skills to interact with clients and team members

- Fluent in English
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required
- Attention to detail to ensure thorough cleaning of all areas
- Knowledge of facilities maintenance practices is a plus
