Job Overview:

The Risk Analyst for the ERM program will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks across our nuclear operations. This role involves analyzing risk data, supporting the development of risk management strategies, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The Risk Analyst will play a critical role in enhancing our risk management framework and supporting decision-making processes within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Risk Identification and Assessment: Identify and evaluate potential risks related to nuclear operations, including safety, regulatory, financial, and environmental risks. Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to determine the impact and likelihood of identified risks.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze risk-related data and trends using statistical tools and risk management software. Prepare detailed risk reports and dashboards for senior management and stakeholders.
  • Risk Mitigation Strategies: Develop and recommend risk mitigation strategies and action plans. Collaborate with various departments to ensure the effective implementation of risk management measures.
  • ERM Framework Enhancement: Contribute to the development and refinement of the organization’s ERM framework and policies, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Compliance and Monitoring: Monitor compliance with regulatory requirements and internal risk management policies. Support internal audits and reviews to ensure adherence to safety and operational standards.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate risk findings and recommendations clearly to stakeholders, including senior management and operational teams. Facilitate discussions on risk management strategies and action plans.
  • Training and Awareness: Support the development and delivery of risk management training programs for staff. Promote risk awareness and a culture of proactive risk management throughout the organization.
  • Emergency Preparedness: Assist in the evaluation and management of risks related to emergency preparedness and response. Contribute to the development and testing of emergency plans and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Nuclear Engineering, Environmental Science, Finance, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., Certified Risk Management Professional, Certified Safety Professional) is preferred.
  • 3 years of experience in risk management, with a focus on nuclear operations or a related field. Experience with ERM programs and regulatory compliance is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a solid understanding of risk management principles and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in risk assessment tools, statistical analysis, and risk management software.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex risk information to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Knowledge of nuclear safety regulations, industry standards, and best practices in risk management.
