LOGISTICS COORDINATOR

Title: Logistics Coordinator

Reports to: Logistics Manager

Based at: Mucci International Marketing Inc., Kingsville, Ontario.

Type of Employment: Full time, permanent, 6-days a week (Monday to Friday, half day Saturday).

Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Monitor and Operate TMS (Transportation Management System)
• Supporting In and Out bound loads
• Booking and scheduling loads
• Scheduling appointments with carriers
• Invoicing in Famous for carriers, customs, and logistics purchasing supplies
• Working with carrier claims, compliance, and contracts
• Assist with Customs documentation and supporting the logistics and customs teams

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• 1 – 3 years customs or related experience
• Experience with FDA and CFIA regulatory requirements, tariff harmonization, NAFTA Certificate of Origins, produce experience considered an asset.
• Ability to communicate effectively (written, oral and spoken) in English.
• Experience with Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel and Outlook is required.
• Ability to work with independently and within a team setting.
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task and deal with time sensitive deadlines and priorities.
• A flexible work schedule including extended hours and weekends.
• Post secondary education in a related field will be considered an asset.

Physical Abilities:

• Must be able to sit, stand, and/or walk for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with body, arms, and/or legs.
• Must be able to lift material regularly up to 14 kg / 30 lbs; and occasionally up to 23 kg / 50lbs
• Must be able to climb stairs and stand on feet for an extended period of time.
• Must be able to work in a temperature-controlled environment of approximately 13 ˚C / 55 ˚F.
