The Role As a key member of our team the Purchasing Supervisor will be responsible for the planning and overseeing of goods and materials for use by Naturally Pacific Resort’s operations. They will utilize forecasting skills and methods to improve the efficiency of company operations in pursuit of corporate objectives. This includes creating specific forecasts for items over a given time span, which shall be used for inventory management purposes, strategic ordering, and vendor selection. The ideal candidate will have purchasing/supply chain management experience as well as experience in the hospitality industry. Your contributions to the team include: Utilize data analysis, business intelligence, and reporting tools to forecast supply and material needs across the organization. Request quotes and review proposals and supply agreements. Supervise the creation of materials requirements plans and forecasts, using established tools and methods. Additional tasks and duties as assigned. A few things we are looking for in a new team member: Direct working knowledge of operations, warehouse management, and transportation management. Familiarity with supply chain management (SCM) software, enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, and/or material requirements planning (MRP) software. Demonstrated understanding of integrated supply chain and logistics concepts and theories. Advanced procurement and supplier negotiation abilities. Familiar with enterprise-level track-and-trace systems, as well as implementation experience. Hands-on experience with shipping, logistics, distribution, receipt management, vendor performance appraisal, and vendor return systems.
