Industrial Spray Painter

Key Responsibilities:

Paint Application:

Applying layers of paint, enamel, as well as Powder Coating to metal surfaces using Electrostatic and Conventional Spray Guns.

Ensuring even and smooth application without drips or inconsistencies.

Equipment Maintenance:

Cleaning and maintaining spray painting equipment and tools.

Troubleshooting equipment issues and performing minor repairs.

Safety and Compliance:

Following safety protocols to prevent accidents or exposure to harmful fumes.

Ensuring compliance with environmental regulations regarding paint use and disposal.

Coordination and Collaboration:

Working closely with other team members, such as painters, supervisors, and management.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or apprenticeship in industrial painting an asset.
  • Minimum 3 yrs. experience as an industrial spray painter.
  • Familiarity with different types of paints and their applications.

Skills:

  • Good hand-eye coordination and a steady hand.
  • Attention to detail and quality.
  • Understanding of safety standards and environmental regulations.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to work in various environmental conditions.
  • Ability to utilize basic computer functions such as Window OS.

Work Environment:

  • Work takes place in a manufacturing plant with a paint line at up to 8ft./minute.
  • Requires wearing protective gear like masks, gloves, and safety glasses.
  • Involves exposure to fumes and chemicals.
