AZ or DZ Farm Supply Delivery Driver

JOB Purpose

The purpose of this role is to deliver consumables and parts to Dairy Farms in Eastern Ontario. This role must also recognize the public exposure of our vehicle fleet, which is part of our corporate image, and be a safe and courteous driver.

Key responsibilities and Accountabilities

· Safe and on time delivery of farm supplies to dairy farms

· Able to follow delivery instructions pertaining to desired location of product in farm milk houses and utility rooms

· Work as part of a team with the area account manager and the SCM team.

· Professional Image. You must have appropriate interpersonal skills to interact with customers.

· Follow all safety protocols as outlined in your training and employee handbooks, on line training and any subsequent Health and Safety sessions after hire. It is mandatory at all times that you wear safety goggles and gloves and other PPE provided to you, to ensure safe handling of chemicals.

· Responsible for scheduling delivery truck maintenances and ensuring the truck is kept clean and tidy inside and out.

· Abide by the policies and procedures as outlined by the Company Handbook.

· Comply with all MTO regulations including maintain an up-to-date electronic log book.

Performing or other related duties

· Safe driving in various weather conditions.

· Ability to navigate rural Ontario.

· Being prepared to engage the customer and forward any opportunities and/or concerns regarding the customer to the customer account manager.

· Able to perform some heavy lifting.

Able to demonstrate ability to maneuver various sized containers including 20L, 55L and 205L Drums

Work Experience requirements

· Minimum of 3 years previous driving experience

· Previous customer service experience would be an asset

· Certificate for transportation of dangerous goods or willing to obtain.

· Valid class AZ or DZ, Ontario driver’s license
