Job Posting for Field Operator at NTE Energy Canada Ltd.

We are seeking a Field Operator. This position requires a self-motivated individual to be a part of our day-to-day field and plant operations. Field Operators perform daily operational checks of assigned wells and facilities and are expected to handle most routine problems independently.

Reporting to the Field Supervisor, key areas of responsibility include:

  • Know and follow all company policies and procedures, including production, safety and regulatory procedures.
  • Maintain field production using the following (but not limited to) skills and experience in Well optimization, Pigging optimization, and maximizing facility run time and efficiency.
  • Responsible to keep equipment and facilities operating at maximum efficiency with minimum down time in a safe and cost-effective manner.
  • Identify and follow through on optimization opportunities.
  • Assist in planning and execution of field and facility projects.
  • Provide input and support on facility optimization and gathering system modification projects.
  • Ensure prompt and accurate reporting of production/fuel/flaring/venting data, (including trucked volumes.).
  • Work effectively with Production Accounting staff to ensure accuracy in PVR and provide accurate information about flow and meter questions and issues as they may arise.
  • Ensure all regulatory requirements are being met and documented.
  • Maintain continuous understanding of operating costs and key cost drivers and support cost saving initiatives.
  • Assist in ordering and tracking parts and fittings.
  • Monitor and approve invoicing (through Open Invoice) to ensure accuracy and prompt payment to vendors.
  • Liaise with service providers and provide support to maintenance crews as needed.
  • Order and track parts and fittings for projects and code and approve invoices.

Candidate Summary:

  • Knowledge of Plant processes including compression, refrigeration & stabilization. Amine process knowledge and experience an asset.
  • Thorough knowledge of gathering system and isolation points.
  • Thorough working knowledge of all plant and field equipment and its functions.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements.
  • Positive attitude and strong sense of team commitment.
  • Above average decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities.
  • Ability to be open minded and thinking “outside the box” is an asset.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in production operations.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Familiar with Excel and Word programs.
  • Familiarity with Open Invoice is an asset.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to climb a 6 ft ladder.
  • Ability to assemble/disassemble parts with both hands.

Salary: $32.69-$40.00 per hour
