Ontario Soccer develops and delivers exceptional and sustainable programs and services throughout Ontario with the mission of providing leadership and support for the advancement of soccer in collaboration and cooperation with our member District Associations and Clubs, partners and other stakeholders. Ontario Soccer owns and operates the Zanchin Automotive Soccer Centre in Vaughan, Ontario as well operating the Ontario Player Development League (OPDL); the province’s premier standards-based youth development program, as well as “Team Ontario”, Ontario Soccer’s Provincial Xcel program. Ontario Soccer proudly supports Canada Soccer’s National Teams, the Canadian Premier League, Toronto FC and the new Northern Super League.

Position Summary:
This position provides primary administrative support to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and the Chair of the Board. Secondary administrative support is provided to: 1) The Executive Management Committee, 2) The Board of Directors 3) The Nominations Committee and 4) Conditional support to the Chair, Voting Members Council (VMC).
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist/support the Chief Executive Officer in day-to-day-operations of the corporation (i.e., schedules, travel logistics, communications, presentations, documentation management)
Assist/support the Chair of the Board of the corporation with all logistical administrative requirements (i.e., schedules, travel logistics, communications, documentation management)
Manage the administrative requirements of the Board of Directors (i.e., meeting logistics, communications, minutes, Board travel, meals and accommodations and documentation management)
Manage the administrative requirements (i.e., meeting logistics, minutes and documentation management) of the Executive Management Committee, Nominations Committee and the Voting Members Council
Assist with the Coordination of the corporation’s Annual Members Meetings
Assist where assigned with the Coordination of the annual Ontario Soccer Summit
Implement by-laws policies and procedures relevant to Corporate operations
Additional duties as may be directed by the Chief Executive Officer
This position will require some weekend work
Qualifications
Experience:
At minimum 5 years of knowledge and practical experience serving in an executive level administrative; Board of Directors and Committee’s support role
Experience working with volunteers in a collaborative team environment
An understanding of the governance structure of soccer or amateur sport in general
Experience with single and large group travel and accommodations logistics
Experience and attention to detail with document management
Education and Professional Designations:
Diploma or Degree in Administration or equivalent
Skills and Competencies:
Excellent inter-personal skills
Excellent time management skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks and projects at one time
Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion where required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High proficiency work with Microsoft Office products; Word, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint and Excel
Ability to work with and contribute to a positive staff, team environment built on collaboration, creativity and innovation
Self-starter and collaborator to achieve set goals
Confident, diplomatic, and personable approach
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends where required
Works well under pressure handling multiple priorities and meeting established deadlines
