Raise is hiring a Financial Analyst for Our Client, a Fortune 500 company and one of the world’s leading integrated producers of concentrated phosphate and potash This position is a one (1) year contract located in Regina, Saskatchewan. Description

The Financial Analyst in this role will be a key partner to the business, driving financial success through your innovative ideas and forward-thinking approach. You'll collaborate with teams across the organization to create financial strategies and streamline processes to increase profitability and maximize cash flow. From developing complex financial models to participating in M&A initiatives, your critical analysis and insights will help us make informed decisions about future investments and initiatives.

Accountabilities

  • Partner with the business to develop and implement financial strategies that increase profitability and maximize cash flow
  • Drive process improvement activities that streamline analysis and reporting, so we can make better decisions faster
  • Develop complex financial models to help us evaluate investment opportunities, assess risk, and forecast future performance
  • Participate in M&A initiatives, including financial modeling of potential acquisitions and due diligence analysis, to help us grow and expand
  • Review and analyze actual performance versus budgets and forecasts, and prepare reports for senior management
  • Be a key business partner with the Treasury, Tax, Investor Relations, Financial Reporting, and Compensation teams on a multitude of analysis
  • Participate in the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes, ensuring that our budgets and forecasts are set aggressively, yet realistically
  • Develop ad hoc reports, providing critical insights and analysis to help us make informed decisions about future investments and initiatives

Required

  • Experience with financial modeling, discounted cash flow modeling, budgeting and forecasting
  • Prior experience working in the finance department of a large public company
  • Experience with valuation techniques (DCF and multiples)
  • Experience with visualization tools, such as PowerBI, Tableau, SAP Analytics Cloud
  • SAP Experience – Preferably with S4 Hanna
  • Bonus Points If You Have: FP&A experience within an international chemical manufacturing and/or mining company
  • A degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to maintain the “big picture” while also being able to “drill down” into the detailed analysis as needed
  • Expert written and verbal communication skills
  • Stellar relationship-building skills
  • The ability to adapt to changing work environments while managing multiple priorities

Additional Information

Location: This is a hybrid role where you will work 3 days onsite and 2 days remotely each week. In this position, you can expect to spend up to 5% of your time traveling.
