Cook

Our retirement home is seeking a part-time/full-time Cook (20-40 hours). Retirement or Nursing home cooking experience is preferred.

• Candidate must be able to follow recipes, cook from scratch, have excellent time management skills and prepare meals for residents with special dietary needs.
• Candidates should be able to maintain record of food inventory and place weekly orders based on upcoming menus, as required.
• Candidate must provide a police check with vulnerable persons clearance, current safe food handlers certificate, Tb screening and valid CPR certificate.
• Candidate must work every other weekend and day shifts through out the week.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed

Experience:

• cooking: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

• Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent (required)
