Position: Photo Port Manager (Full-Time)

Facility: Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada

Reports to: Senior Manager of Guest Experience and Special Projects

Job Purpose: Photo Port is a fun and fast-paced environment at Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada. We are looking for an enthusiastic, outgoing and friendly Photo Port manager to assist us with our Photo Port department. The Photo Port Manager will oversee the operation of the department ensuring goals are met. They will report directly to the Senior Manager of Guest Experience and Special Projects. This is a great opportunity to gain and develop Leadership experience at Toronto’s Number one tourist attraction!

Please remember that due to the nature of our business, we work when others play in an attraction that is open 365 days of the year! You will be expected to be regularly available to work any shift before, during, or after these hours of operation.

Critical Accountabilities:

  • Organize associates, ensuring they perform their delegated tasks and responsibilities.
  • Help to develop, implement and maintain new and existing programs.
  • Resolving issues as they arise and communicate these with associates, management and other departments as needed.
  • Creating weekly schedule for Team Members.
  • Submitting the department’s bi-weekly payroll accurately.
  • Recruiting and training new and existing team members.
  • Verifying associates cash drawers when needed.
  • Maintaining accurate count of inventory at both Aquarium and the off-site warehouse.
  • Purchasing inventory from vendors. Evaluating new product offerings
  • Collecting stock and inventory from warehouse as needed.
  • Assisting team members on the floor as necessary.
  • Ensure photo system remains operational, trouble shooting when necessary.
  • Ensure Staff and Supervisors meet set goals.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Special Skills and Requirements:

  • Full “G” Driver’s License.
  • Exemplary punctuality and time keeping skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and communicate effectively is essential.
  • Available to work a flexible schedule, that includes evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Attention to detail for full accuracy.
  • Ability to work individually, and as part of a team.
  • Proactive organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to work with ladders or specialized equipment to grab inventory.
