Role Overview: As the Electrical Foreman, you will be at the forefront of our Panel shop operations, guiding a team of talented designers, builders, and laborers in producing high-quality electrical panels. Your role is crucial in ensuring our Panel shop runs like a well-oiled machine—delivering precision work on time while maintaining a safe and forward-thinking environment. This role will include a strong focus on QA /QC duties within the panel shop.
Starting Wage: $30/hour
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a diverse team, from experienced designers/builders to entry-level laborers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Work Allocation: Strategically assign tasks to maximize team strengths, ensuring all work meets our high standards for quality and efficiency.
Project Management: Oversee the progress of work orders, tackling any challenges head-on to keep projects on schedule.
Quality Assurance: Conduct regular inspections of ongoing and completed work to ensure accuracy, quality, and adherence to specifications and CSA standards.
Technical Expertise: Provide hands-on support in diagnosing and troubleshooting complex issues, sharing your deep knowledge with the team as well as helping our newer members learn the tools and skills required to be successful.
Resource Coordination: Manage resources, equipment, and materials to optimize workflow and maximize labour utilization time.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all work and CSA tracking forms, from service logs to customer interactions, ensuring everything is meticulously documented.
Safety Compliance: Champion a safe, clean, and organized workplace, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and company policies. A strong safety focus is crucial.
Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including parts procurement and customer service, to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction.
Continuous Improvement: Stay ahead of industry trends and innovations, applying new knowledge to improve shop processes and outcomes.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
Leadership: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and inspire a team with diverse skill levels.
Technical Mastery: Deep understanding of electrical panel systems, with hands-on experience in troubleshooting and repairs.
Attention to Detail: Meticulous in maintaining high standards of quality and documentation.
Efficiency Focused: Strong organizational and time management skills, with a knack for optimizing processes.
Problem-Solving: Sharp analytical skills with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to clearly convey complex information to both the team and stakeholders.
Software Proficiency: Experience in documenting time and efforts in an ERP. Articulate Integration & Technologies uses ConnectWise, experience with CW will be considered an asset.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in electrical systems is preferred.
At least one year of proven experience in a supervisory role within an electrical panel shop or similar environment.
Strong knowledge of shop equipment and tools, including diagnostic tools and hand tools.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Certification in relevant areas, such as Electrical Safety and Lean practices, is an asset.
Automation panel building experience is an asset.
