Reports To: Vehicle Maintenance Supervisor/Assistant Supervisor
Position Overview
A VM Maintenance Laborer assists Mechanics in maintaining all rolling stock at Marmot Basin. These assets include but are not limited to: Snow Cats, Snowmobiles, Busses, Fleet Vehicles and other various equipment.
The incumbent should expect to be working inside and outside in any, all and sometimes adverse weather conditions.
This is a full-time seasonal role, 4 days out of 7 per week, 10 hours per day from May through to October each summer season. Please note that you may not receive full-time hours at the beginning/ end of the season.
Alberta Employment Standards regarding a ninety-day probationary period applies.
Requirements:
Must be 18 years or older
Class 5 Alberta drivers license
Must produce clean Alberta driving abstract
Must possess an enthusiastic and positive attitude
Must be able to lift 50lbs and at times repetitively
Must enjoy working outdoors with a team and by themselves
Enjoy learning about mechanics.
Ability to be a great environmental steward to Jasper National Park
Must be able to operate ATV’s and Side by Sides

Qualifications:
Ski Industry experience (an asset)
Physically fit
Mechanical background (an asset)
Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised
Job duties/ Responsibilities:
Assist Mechanics with daily duties
Clean and organize parts
Clean interior / Exterior of assets
Painting
Sand Blasting
Inventory
All other duties as assigned
Adherence to the company’s practices and procedures as set in the Employee Hand Book
All Marmot Basin employees will conduct themselves in compliance with Alberta Occupational Health and Safety legislation as it relates to their job
