Cashier

Overview
We are seeking a customer-oriented Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor to provide excellent service to our customers.

Responsibilities
- Operate POS system to handle customer transactions accurately and efficiently
- Greet customers entering the establishment
- Scan goods and ensure pricing is accurate
- Bag items carefully for customers
- Process returns and exchanges
- Maintain a clean and tidy checkout area
- Upsell products or services when appropriate
- Handle cash, credit, and check transactions with precision

Qualifications
- Proficient in basic math skills for cash handling
- Excellent communication skills to interact with customers effectively
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Bilingual or multilingual capabilities are a plus
- Familiarity with cashiering procedures and POS systems preferred
- Strong phone etiquette and the ability to communicate clearly in English

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week

Shift:

• 8 hour shift

Work days:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
