Responsibilities
Lead Processes
Take charge of our team of Production Operators to deliver the portion of the daily production schedule assigned to you by Supervisors
Assess labour needs and adjust as needed
Lead daily production activities as assigned by Supervisors, including:
Processing activities, including harvesting, drying, trimming, sorting, milling and bulk packaging
Extraction activities, including ice water, hash, and rosin production
Packaging activities, including whole flower packaging, pre-roll production, topical production, vape cartridge production, and concentrate portioning
Take ownership of the delivery of our standard operating procedures for the production activity you are leading
Promote and maintain the highest levels of cleanliness; ensure all sanitation criteria are met
Administer training and onboarding programs to processing, extraction, sanitation, and packaging operators. Monitor operator performance and give on-the-job training and coaching to them to drive improvement
Help track and maintain consumable inventory levels
Complete inventory and quality record-keeping accurately and timely
Own production equipment:
Understand how all production equipment works and be able to train Operators
Assist the Production Supervisors to ensure preventative maintenance schedules are adhered to and breakdowns are corrected in a timely fashion
Provide feedback to Production Supervisors on improvement opportunities for our equipment
Ensure that Production Operators know and follow safety protocols and all SOPs. Document their training in a timely fashion
Take part in Continuous Improvement projects as directed by Production Supervisors
Maintain KPI tracking files accurately and on-time
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
1 years of experience in a fast-paced production setting with at least 20 staff members
Prior experience with coaching and training staff
Demonstrated excellence in communication, problem solving and organization
Ability to work flexible hours as needed, including weekends
Fluency in Spanish is an asset
Fluency in Hindi or Punjabi is an asset
Health Canada Cannabis Act security clearance is an asset
