As a Project Manager you will implement a variety of projects such as: travelling exhibitions, multimedia shows, permanent exhibits within our science centres, construction, and consulting. You will be a key member of the Project and Exhibit Services team which includes project managers, technical specialists, exhibit logistics, and science communicators.
The successful candidate will have experience in project delivery and a strong interest in applying and developing project management skills. You will embrace adaptability and resilience, while maintaining a focus on value and quality outcomes. Experience in team leadership, the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders, and excellent communication skills are considered assets.
In this role you will:
- Develop and monitor the project scope, budget, and schedule
- Plan and manage risk, resources, communication, stakeholders, and procurement, throughout the project life cycle
- Guide cross-functional project teams to ensure quality visitor experiences and scientific content
- Support construction projects, including reviewing estimates, contract administration, site reviews, and progress reports
- Integrate project management tools and systems for ease of reporting to private and public funders and/or sponsors
- Lead successful collaboration between internal teams, external partners, and other stakeholders
- Provide direction to external contractors, designers, and exhibit fabricators
- Support implementation of innovation systems and tools to deliver the best quality within budget
- Support Science North initiatives and best practices for sustainability, accessibility, equity, diversity, and reconciliation.
Qualifications:
- 2-5 years’ experience managing a variety of projects
- Familiar with Office 365 and Microsoft Teams
- Excellent communication skills, oral and written
- Strong interest in relationship-building and stakeholder management
- Willingness to create and support a collaborative team environment
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities
- Aptitude for resourceful problem-solving and innovation
Compensation Details:
- Competitive salary package range ($47,300 to $60,00 per year )
