Job Summary:
The Business Development Manager is tasked with generating new business through various prospecting activities. This role is essential for achieving customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives. The Business Development Manager must be adept at presentations, working with channel partners, generating interest, qualifying prospects, and closing sales.
Core Responsibilities:
- : Proactively identify sales opportunities by engaging with customers, assisting with product selection, answering pricing inquiries, and processing orders with accuracy and efficiency.
- : Develop action plans to access new markets, leverage existing networks, and cultivate new relationships. Expand and maintain networks to connect with potential clients and foster lasting partnerships.
- : Develop and implement strategies to drive revenue growth and meet sales targets. Prepare and deliver professional proposals that address client needs and effectively showcase value propositions.
- : Forecast sales, maintain sales pipeline activities, and collaborate with the Business Division Manager and Account Managers to ensure follow-through on leads. Actively maintain calls, leads, and follow ups using the company CRM.
- : Stay current with the latest Apple products and technologies to educate customers effectively and make informed recommendations.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Consultative and solution-based selling skills with superior written and oral communication abilities.
- Experience in account mapping and developing prospecting strategies.
- Ability to be systematic yet flexible, self-directed, and able to prioritize multiple work streams.
- Perseverance in handling objections and rejections, thriving in a competitive team environment, and possessing intuitive skills for immediate effectiveness.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
No supervisory responsibilities.
Working Conditions:
The position involves mobile work at client sites, a home office, and head office, requiring driving, sitting, standing, and walking. Some travel is necessary, and owning transportation is preferred.
Education and Experience Required:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in sales.
- Knowledge of Apple computers and accessories is an asset.
- Proficiency in English and computer skills, including POS systems, Excel, Windows, email, and internet.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Required to complete Apple Seed Training and ATLAS training.
- Must possess a valid BC Driver’s License.
