For the Bitumen Roofing Membrane Products division, the Production Manager supervises and supports the production teams under their responsibility and contributes to the achievement of service objectives. The Production Manager is accountable for all the results that affect their sector (safety, quality, productivity, employee engagement, and production costs), and must act as a mentor and model for their employees.

Ensures compliance with and implementation of H&S and environmental policies
Identifies, analyzes, and manages risks daily.
Achieves objectives related to health and safety, environment, and quality while optimizing raw material use and equipment performance.
Maintains cleanliness and proper maintenance of production lines.2.
Team Management and Leadership
Directly manages employees, including recruitment, dismissals, performance evaluations, supervision, and training.
Creates a motivating and cohesive work environment to ensure team engagement and accountability.
Supervises and plans team requirements during R&D trials and the implementation of industrial projects.
Provides support to the maintenance team, facilitates interventions, and plans workforce management during significant maintenance activities.
Production Planning and Supply Chain
Plans production for manufacturing units to meet customer demand while optimizing inventory levels.
Coordinates with other departments to ensure seamless supply chain management up to the final customer.
Performance and Continuous Improvement
Analyzes performance gaps and improvement opportunities, defining and presenting action plans to the Plant Manager.
Promotes continuous improvement initiatives within the team.
Monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) across all areas of responsibility.
Identifies bottlenecks in production and develops action plans to resolve them.
Proposes innovative solutions to meet or exceed set objectives.
Budget and Investment Management
Participates in defining and monitoring the operational budget (labour, energy, consumables, etc.).
Prepares and justifies investment proposals (Capex) and ensures follow-up to verify profitability against initial assumptions.
Reporting and Communication
Communicates team performance (both successes and challenges) to the Plant Manager regularly.
Implements appropriate communication tools (e.g., display boards) to share team results and encourage self-assessment.
Development and Industrial Projects
Supports, supervises, and plans the implementation of minor and major industrial projects with the project team.
Actively contributes to investment plans and ensures alignment with strategic objectives.
Other Responsibilities
Completes other tasks as assigned by the Plant Manager.

Your Education
Training in operations management.
Training in engineering (bachelor’s degree or college degree).
Your Knowledge and Competencies
People management experience in non-unionized environment.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing (an asset).
Knowledge of bituminous products (an asset).
Knowledge of chemistry (an asset).
IT tools (Office Suite, Excel, Word, Power Point), GPAO (AS400 an asset), and Dayforce.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Schedule flexibility to ensure basic support and monitoring of all supervised work teams of their manufacturing units (required).
Flexibility to work on weekends or on call for any support required to the team.
Must wear a chemical cartridge respirator, gloves, and coveralls, depending on the work area.
Must wear safety glasses, earplugs, and boots at all times.
Dusty and noisy work environment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Good physical condition (heavy lifting on daily basis is involved).
No asthma history.

All production employees including Machine Operator, Splicer, Winder, Raw Materials Supplier, Labourer.
