POSITION SUMMARY:
Functions in a public relations capacity, as the initial contact with Electrodiagnostic Imaging clients. Verifies patient documentation. Co-ordinates patient scheduling and performs registration and order placement for all Cardio and Neuro diagnostic studies in a timely manner and uses several computer applications to perform these functions. Handles department communications and liaisons with many client types (patients, physicians, and healthcare providers). Ensures that all patient records are processed efficiently and managed with the utmost of confidentiality, accuracy and comprehensiveness. Provides excellent customer service, demonstrating patience, kindness and caring in an environment with constant multiple demands. Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Grade 12 diploma, plus 2-year post-secondary diploma in office administration-health services
• Intermediate skill level required for MS Word and Excel
• Basic skill level required for typing speed
• Intermediate spelling, medical spelling, and medical terminology required
• Clerical testing may be required as part of the selection process.
• Excellent telephone, interpersonal and customer service skills required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
• Working knowledge of patient registration and order placement
• Knowledge of general office practices, procedures and standards required
• Ability to use good judgment in assessing difficult situations required.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure both independently and in a team approach.
• Excellent organizations, interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Must be able to perform multiple tasks and provide compassionate customer service
• Ability to use good judgment in assessing difficult situations required
• A commitment to continuing education an asset.
• Good work performance and attendance record is essential.
NOTE: Clerical testing will take place as part of the interview process.
WAGE RATE:
Hourly: $28.03 ... $29.26 ... $30.46
(plus 14% in lieu of benefits)
