Wage: $18.25-19.25/hour

Hours: Open 7 days a week. (hours may be irregular with occasional overtime)

Shift Times: Monday-Friday shifts start at 6:30am or 9:00am

Saturday-Sunday shifts start at 7am

Built in 2017, Galaxy Processing is the largest distribution center of The Star Group – the name really speaks for itself! Focus

This main focus of the Production Forklift Operator is to ensure the safe and efficient movement and storage of products in and around our warehouse by use of a forklift.

Key Accountabilities

• Move raw products and finished products to and from coolers, production line and staging areas with RF Scanner guns
• Ensuring products are placed in accurate coolers according to temperature requirements
• Manually stacking boxes of fruit and vegetables (up to 45lbs) on to pallet
• Wrapping finished pallets
• Must be able to read and comprehend English
• Must be able to work in fast paced environment

Education and Experience

• Previous experience in produce industry is preferred
• Previous forklift/reach truck experience is required.

Working Conditions

· Hours may be irregular and in excess of 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week

· Work outside ordinary office hours may be required with occasional overtime

Physical Requirements

· Frequent lifting and carrying of up to 50lbs

· Work in cooler environment

· Prolonged periods of standing
