Position Overview
Title: Junior Systems Administrator
Salary Range: $45K to $65K/year to start.
Location: Based in our Cloverdale office, Surrey BC. This position has limited or no remote work available, emphasizing the importance of in-office collaboration and support.

Ideal Candidate Profile
Experience: At least 2 years of experience in IT support roles, with specific experience or interest in system administration.
Education & Certification: Preferred candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. Candidates pursuing or holding relevant IT industry certifications are highly regarded.
Skills:
Strong foundational knowledge in managing IT infrastructure, including server environments and Microsoft 365.
An understanding of security protocols and the ability to contribute to security practices.
Skill in using PowerShell or similar scripting languages for automating routine tasks.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and a robust capacity for managing stress.
Effective communication skills and the aptitude for teamwork as well as independent work.
Role Responsibilities
Work Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, with flexible scheduling. This role requires a presence in our office to support the collaborative and hands-on aspects of our work.
Key Duties:
Assist in the administration and maintenance of server environments, including Active Directory and Azure AD / Entra ID.
Support the implementation of Group Policies and security measures to enhance operational efficiency and safeguard systems.
Help manage Microsoft 365 applications, focusing on security and compliance.
Handle client user on-boarding and off-boarding requests, ensuring smooth transitions and access control.
Participate in setting up computers and managing computer lifecycle processes, including procurement, maintenance, and disposal/recycling.
Contribute to asset management efforts, including the tracking and auditing of software licenses and hardware.
Provide backup support to the Help Desk, responding to calls and tickets when necessary.
