This is a pivotal role that requires a blend of strategic thinking, analytical prowess, and leadership skills. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in strategy formulation and execution, a deep understanding of the telecommunications industry, and the ability to drive key business initiatives. Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning and Development:

    • Lead the development and execution of corporate and business unit strategies.

    • Conduct market analysis and competitive intelligence to inform strategic decisions.

    • Identify growth opportunities and develop strategic plans to capitalize on them.

  • Business Analysis:

    • Analyze business performance metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.

    • Prepare detailed business cases, financial models, and feasibility studies.

    • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior leadership.

  • Project Leadership:

    • Manage cross-functional projects that drive strategic initiatives.

    • Ensure timely delivery of projects within scope and budget.

    • Facilitate project meetings, track progress, and report on project outcomes.

  • Stakeholder Management:

    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including executives and department heads.

    • Build strong relationships with external partners, consultants, and industry experts.

    • Present strategic recommendations to senior leadership and key stakeholders.

  • Innovation and Continuous Improvement:

    • Promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the organization.

    • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.

    • Lead initiatives to improve business processes and operational efficiencies.



Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, or a related field.

  • Proven track record of leading strategic initiatives and delivering impactful results.

  • Experience in the telecommunications industry or a related sector is an asset.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Ability to think strategically and translate concepts into actionable plans.

  • Proficiency in financial modeling and business case development.

  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Leadership and influence skills, with the ability to drive change.

  • High level of initiative and self-motivation.

  • Strong business acumen and commercial awareness.

  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.



Working Conditions:

  • Full-time position based at TELUS headquarters or regional offices.

  • May require occasional travel for business meetings and conferences.

  • Dynamic, fast-paced work environment with opportunities for career growth and development. 



Education/Certifications  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field.

  • MBA or advanced degree in a relevant field is highly preferred.
