The City of Red Deer is currently recruiting for the right person to fill a full-time Term position for an HR Generalist - HCM Project. This key role will support Human Resources in HCM/HRIS Implementation and in foundation setting work, including policy, program, systems and process updates and development. In addition, this role will contribute to the development of a People and HR Strategy and support HR leadership and the HR Department with research, project work and generalist human resource work.
As our preferred candidate, you will have:
Post-secondary degree in a Human Resources or related field (equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered)
CPHR designation preferred
Minimum of five years human resource generalist experience, including skills and experience in developing HR policies and program development, and the set-up of HR program administration or payroll/human resource systems.
Aptitude for understanding and translating business needs and outcomes into human resource outcomes, programs, and people strategies
In-depth knowledge of HR principles, functions, methods and best practices
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Collaborative skills and ability to work with multiple stakeholders across all levels of the organization
Ability to manage multiple, sometimes competing, timelines and deadlines effectively
Ability to influence, advise, and disseminate information in a well thought-out, logical, and effective manner at all levels of the organization
Ability to strategize and formulate business plans
Ability to create and deliver executive level presentations and materials
Knowledge of and ability to successfully utilize a variety of decision making, consultation and stakeholder engagement tools and methodologies
Good working knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply related legislation and standards

Remuneration:
$42.26 to $52.82 per hour.
Hours of Work:
75 hours biweekly, Monday to Friday. Some evening and weekend work may be required.
Additional Information:
The term of this position is anticipated to be 24 months.
