This is an excellent opportunity for a well-spoken, friendly, and experienced Customer Service Representative to be responsible for receiving and handling calls in a busy taxicab services call centre. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive taxicab trip requests via telephone and/or email in a fast-paced environment while multi-tasking.
- Have the ability to quickly understand customer needs while building a positive rapport.
- Enter trip request details into Dispatch Software accurately and quickly.
- Answer telephone and emails in an effective, clear, and professional manner (verbal and written) focusing on understanding customer needs while remaining calm and courteous.
- Act as a communication liaison with drivers, dispatchers, and other key stakeholders providing necessary support including in emergency situations.
- Properly document inquiry details and direct them to appropriate parties in a timely manner
- Complete administrative tasks such as data collection and entry to assist with the billing process.
- Be able to learn and apply new policies and procedures.
- Assist drivers and dispatchers with emergency situations.
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of customer service and administrative experience; preferably within passenger transportation or courier companies
- Strong knowledge of the road network throughout the City of Toronto with an ability to learn new information.
- Excellent knowledge of basic computer programs including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and software; ability to learn customized dispatch programs.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multi-task and act quickly.
- Strong organizational skills with sound knowledge of general office and administrative practices
- Ability to work individually as well as in a team environment in high-pressure situations.
- Capable to work with minimal supervision.
- Punctual and good attendance record.
- Ability to work in a flexible schedule that includes occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays.
