We are looking for a shop Labour to join our team. This is a full-time position with opportunities to further your career.

Responsibilities:

 

At Tritech, we aim to provide opportunities that are challenging, fast-paced, that effectively utilize the skills of our team members, and provide variety in day-to-day tasks.

 

The job responsibilities for this role includes:

 

  • Operate company vehicles and equipment as directed, including but not limited to:
    • Forklifts
    • Pick up Trucks
    • Cube Vans
  • Cleaning & lubricating vehicles and equipment.
  • Refilling equipment tanks.
  • Assisting welders as directed.
  • Performing pre-operational inspections, hazard assessments, and safety checks.
  • Ensure shop and project supplies inventory is identified and stored properly.
  • Load, unload, and ship equipment, materials, and supplies to project sites and receive them from suppliers and sites.
  • When receiving materials from suppliers, store and label them appropriately and then inform the purchaser they have arrived.
  • Pick from stock, gather and package materials and equipment as requested by the office and field.
  • Manage shop inventory by tracking incoming and outgoing materials and supplies.
  • Operate metal fabrication equipment including, but not limited to, bandsaws, drill presses, grinders and sanders.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools and machinery safely and to company policies and procedures.
  • Perform basic services (cleaning, oil changes, etc.) on a variety of vehicle and equipment as directed by the Fleet/Shop Maintenance department.
  • Assist the Fleet/Shop Maintenance department with performing maintenance and repairs on the Tritech facilities as requested.
  • Assist with shipment pick-up and deliveries for the Company’s shops, utilizing company vehicles and equipment efficiently and with time sensitivity.
  • Assist with the safe and efficient loading and unloading of Tritech vehicles, outgoing and incoming.
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications.
  • Performing various manual labor tasks to support operations.
  • Loading, unloading, and transporting construction materials.
  • Maintain a clean shop by removing and putting away unwanted materials and tools and other housekeeping tasks as required or assigned.
  • Being accountable, responsible & take ownership.
  • Being safety conscious and follow safety policies and procedures.
  • Providing a safe work environment through continuous training and development.
  • Operating with honesty, integrity and respect.


Requirements


  • BC Class 5 driver's license, personal vehicle, and clean driver record
  • Prior forklift experience 
  • Comfort driving pick up trucks
  • Able and willing to perform physical labor activities.
  • Mechanical Aptitude with basic automotive maintenance and repair experience required
  • Completion of the Construction Safety Training System (CSTS) or SiteReadyBC or willingness to complete.
  • First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
  • Knowledge of safe hoisting and rigging procedures.
  • Experience working on an active construction site considered a asset
  • Experience working with a variety of hand and power tools and machinery.
  • Cube Truck driving experience considered an asset 
  • Trades certification (including apprenticeship) or an equipment operators’ ticket is an asset.
  • Confined Space, Traffic Control, and Fall Protection training preferred.
