Field Operations QHSE Coordinator
Position Summary
We are looking for a strong, versatile, high energy, tech savvy, experienced QHSE Coordinator to support our field operations team. In this role, you will not only be responsible for providing onsite support to all field supervisors and leadership, but you will also work in conjunction with the BD, HR, QHSE, Finance & Major Projects groups where required. As one of the faces of the company you will excel at building and maintaining complex relationships with our customers as well as engaging with company personnel. This role will be based out of our Fort Saskatchewan office but is a field role where the majority of your time is spent on industrial plant worksites primarily throughout Alberta but also in BC, and Saskatchewan supporting our teams onsite during turnaround and maintenance activities.
Responsibilities:
- Be the face and voice of United Safety onsite with customers, contractors, and employees.
- Provide support in the planning, organizing, leading and controlling of QHSE objectives ensuring all service line operations are in compliance with company, regulatory and customer requirements.
- Work in conjunction with the Major Projects Manager and QHSE Manager to understand and execute project deliverables as outlined by them and the Operations Manager, Canada.
- Conduct hazard assessments, site investigations and competency verifications.
- Assist Operations and BD with client requirements for QHSE on the worksite.
- Liaise and communicate with the customer ensuring job requirements and quality control/ assurance is met
- Be an active participant in QHSE meetings for the company and customers.
- Attend customer meetings (as required).
- Lead and coach all employees in their QHSE responsibilities.
- Conduct root cause incident investigations and monitor follow up activities to ensure timely completion.
- Management of documentation including work process flows, strategic planning and tracking and trending.
Requirements:
- Education: Minimum of NCSO or OHS Professional Certification.
- Experience: A minimum of 4 years in a Quality, Health, Safety and Environment position.
- Field experience is a must.
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications is a must.
- Class 5 drivers’ licence is required.
- Strong communication skills - Must be fluent in English, written and spoken
- Successfully complete our training program which includes a physical demands and drug & alcohol test
