Job Description
80% field-based research – supporting and assisting in both small plot and field scale research project implementation, management and data collection.
15% sales experience – support the sales team and participate in sales calls to growers, agronomists, and retails.
5% professional development – opportunities to attend learning events such as Ag In Motion, Crop Diagnostic School, etc.

Objectives
Gain experience with regional crops and UPL Canada product portfolio.
To assist Tech Service Specialist in implementing and managing both field scale and small plot product development trials.
Develop customer relationship skills by working with and observing interactions between Technical Sales Specialist (TSS), UPL Sales team, and growers.
Obtain experience with project presentation skills and working in a team environment.
Increase agronomic skills in the field of weed, insect and disease identification, pesticide application, and biosolution use.
Participate in minimum 2 sales calls with grower/agronomist/retail visits with members of the UPL sales team.
Required Qualifications
Currently pursuing an Agriculture related Bachelor's degree or Agriculture diploma from an accredited program (Agri-Business or Agronomy major preferred)
Completed 2nd year of study or greater as of start date
Must be able to work independently from a home office
Skilled in computer use (MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook)
Valid driver's license and good driving record
Superior work ethic and highly motivated
Able to work both in a team environment and independently
Demonstrated ability to solve problems and make decisions independently
Written and oral communication skills, with ability to influence decision-making
Agriculture/agronomy background is preferred
Job Duties
Assist in initiation, application, and management of field demonstration and product development plots where product data is collected, analyzed, and summarized.
Lead, implement, and manage 1 field scale trial protocol of a UPL focus product with minimum 3 field site locations in Saskatchewan.
Build interpersonal and communication skills while working closely with Technical Support Specialist, Sales team, consultants, retails, and cutomers
Maintain and observe safe working and driving conditions
