Job Details:

• Job Title: General Laborer
• Employment Type: FT, Seasonal (Spring – late Fall)
• Work Location: Vancouver Golf Club – 771 Austin Avenue, Coquitlam, BC
• Pay Rate: $20 - $22 per hour
• Reports To: Assistant Superintendent
• Anticipated Start Date: Negotiable

This role is ideally suited for hardworking and dedicated individuals who enjoy nature and working in an outdoor setting. As a General Laborer on the VGC Grounds team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our pristine grounds.

Main Responsibilities:

As a member of our Grounds team, you will be an integral part of our mission to maintain and enhance the excellence of our golf course. From weeding and trimming to operating gas-powered tools, your tasks will encompass a variety of outdoor activities. Whether you're sodding or contributing to special projects, your dedication and hard work will be essential in upholding our standards of excellence. Additional day-to-day duties would include, but not be limited to:

• Weeding, raking, trimming, and edging bunkers.
• Operation of gas-powered tools such as blowers, string trimmers, and push mowers.
• Sodding and various other projects.
• Maintain and cut turf on tee boxes, fairways, rough, fringes, and greens.
• Observe all safety practices and policies.

This Role Is Ideally Suited For Someone Who Is:

• A morning person! We’re looking for an early riser who is available to be scheduled for early morning shifts.
• Willingness to work in a variety of weather conditions, at times.
• Physically fit to stand and/or walk for long periods at a time.
• Motivated with a commitment to teamwork.
• Must be willing to learn and grow!

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Valid Driver’s License with a reliable vehicle/means of transportation.
• Good English verbal communication skills.
• Physical endurance and ability to work outdoors in various weather condition
• Comfortable with prolonged standing and walking.
• Training provided – no prior experience necessary.
• Successful applicants must possess a clean criminal history.
• MUST be eligible to work in Canada.
