HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR - GPS EXCAVATOR and DOZER Operators

We are looking for Experienced GPS Excavator and GPS Dozer Operators to join our team and build the Springbank Off-Stream Reservoir, 15km west of Calgary. The Springbank Off-Stream Reservoir will provide flood protection along the Elbow River in Calgary and other downstream communities.

We are looking for couple experienced operators, why work in camp when you can be home every day?

We are looking for the following skillset:

• GPS Dozer - D6 & D8
• GPS Excavator

Role & Responsibilities:

• Conduct pre-trip/walk-around safety inspections and completes daily Field Level Hazard Assessments for all activities
• Maintain heavy equipment in good operating condition, reporting and logging maintenance requirements or concerns, cleaning cab and windows the end of each shift and during the shift as required
• Performing checks on your equipment and coordinating with the foreman for change if required
• Complete production reporting and other documentation as required
• Communicate effectively and professionally with other team members
• Be a leader of both safety and production for the team by ensuring compliance with all company, client, and legislated safety policies and procedures
• Shift based role, including nights and weekends
• Work will be primarily outdoors in various weather conditions
• We are running 14/7 shifts, (14 days on, 7 days off) rotating days and nights
• Perform other related duties as assigned or requested

Requirements & Preferred Experience:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar position
• Previous GPS experience running a dozer or excavator is required
• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and a clean driver's abstract
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug & alcohol testing
• Team player with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines, goals and objectives
