HSE Field Coordinator Position Summary
The HSE Field Coordinator position is project based and is responsible for being a steward of the Safety Culture that drives Weaver Group’s continuous effort to protect its people, the public and the environment. In this role, the HSE field coordinator is responsible to mentor, monitor and report on all aspects of organizational compliance with federal and provincial regulations, client expectations and company requirements.
By being a key support to the operations of Weaver Group, the HSE Field Coordinator will be expected to take part in project and facility safety program implementation, use and development. Reporting directly to senior operations leadership and project site supervision, the HSE Field Coordinator delivers support to operations in the day-to-day functions, and periodic reporting of leading and lagging indicators.
Responsibilities
The HSE Field Coordinator is Responsible for, but not limited to:
- Maintaining company programs and procedures specific to the current operation.
- Conduct HSE training sessions for employees and contractors involved in the operation.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to identify and mitigate potential HSE risks associated with the operations.
- Conduct investigations and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
- Assist with safety plans pre-job hazard assessments and risk assessments as required.
- Stay up to date with industry best practices, OHS regulations and emerging trends that are related to Health, Safety, and the Environment.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety regulations environmental standards and client expectations.
- Monitor compliance of new hires current workers and subcontractors including proof of training and contractor equipment maintenance.
- Update and distribute safety resource is including job hazard assessments, field level hazard assessments, logbooks, safety meeting books and truck and equipment inspections.
- Coordinate with the leadership team to plan and facilitate health and safety toolbox meetings.
- Participate in emergency response drills.
- Maintain records of relevance safety statistics to be communicated within WGL and monitor safety statistics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure that noncompliance conditions, root cause, and corrective actions have been identified and corrected.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with regulatory agencies and stakeholders.
Qualifications/Experience
- Experience in Pipeline, Facility and/or Civil Construction an asset
- NCSO, OH&S, CRSP certified, or equivalent considered an asset.
- Minimum of 3-5 years experience in an HSE role.
- Comprehensive working knowledge of OH&S Acts & Regulations.
- Strong Computer Skills - MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Be a results-oriented leader capable of working productively in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Possess the demonstrated ability to motivate self and others.
- Demonstrated leadership, project management, and conflict resolution skills.
Position Details
- Project based position. Project locations throughout Alberta, British Columbia, and Saskatchewan.
- Schedule TBD (14 days on 14 days off/21 days on, 14 days off)
- Renumeration based on experience.

- H2S
- Standard First Aid, CPR
- CSO
- Class 5 Drivers License and provide abstract.
