Part Time Maintenance Staff

Widsten Property Management Inc. is a local & family owned Property Management Company that is looking for a reliable Maintenance Person for various jobs at our rental properties.

As a full service property management company, we pride ourselves in having an in-house maintenance department to quickly & efficiently get repairs carried out in a timely manner for our clients & tenants.

Twice a year each property is inspected and at that time any issues that are mentioned are requisitioned to be repaired, as well as daily calls from tenants with repair requests means you can choose to work one day a week or more!

Always assured payment, as most work is approved from the owner before work proceeds.

Rate of pay $30.00 per hour, however negotiable to work completed in the first 2 months.

Requirements:

Having a basic set of tools would be preferred (screwdrivers, hammer, wrench, etc.)

Contractor must carry – Liability insurance and work safe (also negotiable)

Reliable vehicle to get to properties within the Nanaimo & Ladysmith areas

Strong work ethic to carry out repairs with little to no supervision and be personable with tenants on the job site(s).

You will be responsible to handle invoicing to our office for payments. All contractor payments are made on the 15th of each month. If you are unable to carry small amounts for small parts or materials needed for the job

Types of Jobs carried out:

Changing out smoke & carbon monoxide detectors

Small Plumbing jobs

Minor drywall repairs

Small electrical jobs

Blind or curtain rod replacement

Repairing cabinets/drawers or other small carpentry style work

Removing & installing new baseboard trim, doors, closet door tune-ups, etc.
