We are looking for an experienced and productivity-driven Aerial Lineman to join our expanding team in the Pole Removal Program in BC!
Job Duties
· Install, remove, and transfer aerial telecom structure such as fibre cable, utility poles, steel strand, etc.
· Climb utility poles using climbing gear and rigging
· Operate and maneuver large vehicles/trailers such as digger derricks, bucket trucks, and cable reel trailers.
· Read and interpret telecom design prints and update based on progress, changes, and field findings
· Maintain a driving log, keep a clean and organized vehicle, perform daily vehicle inspections, and participate in daily FLHAs
· Perform other duties as requested

Aside from having attributes that are in line with our core values, one other essential “must-have” is your ability to travel. WP Telectronics has projects all over Canada. We need road warriors who can go where the projects are. A typical shift rotation is 21 days on, 10 days off
Required Qualifications and Skills
· Legally authorized to work in Canada
· Air brakes required (preference will be given to candidates with Class 3 or 1 DL)
· Ability to lift up to 60 lbs
· Experience operating heavy machinery and driving large vehicles with air brakes
· Comfortable working in heights (up to 50ft) in all weather conditions
· Current Confined Space Entry, First Aid, and/or Fall Protection Certification is an asset

Wages
· Although pay will vary due to the piece rate structure, Aerial Lineman on average make $500 per day
