Purpose:
The Microfabrication Facility Assistant is responsible for the operational, technical, and administrative duties for the York University Microfabrication Facility (YMF).
Education:
Must be enrolled as Engineering or Science students in their 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of study
Experience:
Previous work experience in microfabrication is an asset.
Skills:
1. Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Access, Outlook or PowerPoint.
2. Ability to update websites and social media platforms.
3. Ability to perform basic troubleshooting of technology and equipment.
4. Ability to learn and use a variety of computer applications.
5. Ability to test and calibrate equipment performance.
Additional Notes:
Ability to lift/move/carry equipment or material of varying weights, up to 20lbs.Working with tools, equipment, chemicals, gases or performing tasks that require the use of protective measures/devices and/or specific health and safety training.
