Ziv Law Group is a small, thriving criminal defence firm located in Edmonton, AB. We provide our clients with high quality, compassionate representation and we are seeking a hard-working, detail oriented Legal Assistant to join our team.
Duties are varied and include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Provide administrative support to lawyers
- Manage lawyer calendars for court appearances & appointments
- Correspondence to clients, crowns, courts
- Preparation & filing of court documents
- Organize and maintain physical & electronic files
- Perform clerical tasks such as filing, photocopying and scanning documents
- Assist with client file tasks as assigned
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow
- Assist with data entry & maintenance of case management system
- Reception cover-off & other administrative duties as needed
Our ideal candidate would have the following qualifications & attributes:
- 1-3 years of experience as a criminal legal assistant
- Attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced environment
- Comfortable working alone and as part of a team
- Strong organizational & time management skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks
- Demonstrate discretion with sensitive & confidential information
This is a full-time position with a Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm work schedule. Salary based on experience.
