We are looking for interested ‎graduates (m/f/d‎) for our Graduate Development Program as of October 2024.

Job Description

We have developed an outstanding 18-month engineering program designed as a deep insight into the glass industry: during our development program, you will learn all about our processes, technologies and fields of activity. It will be a very practical experience: you will work and learn in our factories, shoulder to shoulder with our best managers and glassmakers, and experience glass making first-hand. You will collaborate both online and in person with other graduate engineers from all over Europe. While you will be supported by a structured learning and development program with access to a variety of workplace activities, networking and social activities, you will be offered challenging and diverse opportunities. For 5 months you will also be part of an international group that will work on the rotation in some of the best O-I locations in Europe.‎

‎During your time at the Bernsdorf site, you will be assigned to the mechanical workshop department and entrusted with the following tasks:‎

  • ‎Collaboration in projects concerning automation, measuring and control systems or robotics
  • Supporting the department in solving electronical problems
  • Leading and instructing employees
  • Preparation of risk assessment
  • Planning of CAPEX and ExMa projects within specified budgets
  • Coordination of external companies including contractor management
  • Monitoring and planning of maintenance and repairs
  • Implementation of spare parts management
  • Repairs and modifications to machines
  • Optimization of systems and components

At the end of our development program, you will have developed a sound knowledge of our industry and our processes, so that you can then work in many different areas of our company.‎

Qualifications

  • ‎You have a degree in one of the following areas: Mechanical engineering, mechatronics, automation
  • Alternatively, a technician or master training
  • ‎You have a passion for manufacturing processes and activities as well as a strong quality awareness‎
  • ‎Ability to cooperate and communicate‎
  • ‎Independence‎
  • ‎Fluent German
  • ‎A good command of English‎
