Job Summary:
The Merchandiser for a textile digital printing firm is responsible for managing the presentation, marketing, and distribution of digitally printed textile products. This role involves working closely with the design, sales, and production teams to ensure that printed textiles meet client specifications and are effectively marketed to drive sales.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Presentation and Marketing:
Develop and implement merchandising strategies to showcase textile products, including custom fabrics, printed apparel, and home textiles.
Create visually appealing product displays for showrooms, trade shows, and online platforms.
Collaborate with the design team to ensure product displays align with branding and marketing strategies.
Client and Sales Support:
Assist the sales team by providing product knowledge, preparing samples, and developing custom solutions for clients.
Prepare and present product portfolios, prototypes, and swatches to potential clients.
Address client inquiries, provide product recommendations, and offer solutions to meet their specific needs.
Inventory and Production Coordination:
Monitor inventory levels of textile materials and ensure that production schedules align with client orders and marketing campaigns.
Work with production teams to ensure that digital printing specifications are met and that products are delivered on time.
Track inventory trends and adjust stock levels to optimize availability and reduce excess.
Market Analysis and Trend Research:
Conduct market research to identify current trends, competitor activities, and opportunities for new textile products.
Analyze customer feedback and sales data to refine product offerings and improve customer satisfaction.
Provide insights and recommendations based on market trends and consumer preferences.
Digital and E-Commerce Management:
Manage online product listings, including updating descriptions, images, and pricing on the company’s website and e-commerce platforms.
Develop digital marketing strategies, including SEO, social media, and email campaigns, to promote textile products.
Monitor online reviews and feedback to maintain a positive digital presence.
Collaboration and Communication:
Coordinate with design, production, and sales teams to ensure seamless execution of merchandising strategies and client projects.
Communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve issues and provide updates.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions on performance, product development, and strategic initiatives.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in marketing, textile design, business, or a related field is preferred.
Experience: Previous experience in merchandising, sales, or a related role within the textile or digital printing industry is advantageous.
Skills:
Knowledge of textile printing processes, materials, and industry trends.
Strong understanding of marketing and merchandising principles.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with digital design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
Ability to analyze sales data and market trends to inform merchandising strategies.
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail and creative problem-solving abilities.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, and lift textile products for extended periods.
