Profile:
The right candidate is creative, hungry, and passionate about visual communication (eager to learn new technology and create unique content). This can be someone who has recently graduated from university with a graphic/visual design degree or someone with a few years of industry experience.
The Role:
Fastr’s clients have been building content in the proprietary platform, Creator, for over 10 years. A new platform, Fastr Frontend, was launched last year, which Fastr’s clients are really excited about
leveraging. The main purpose of the Jr Visual Designer is to recreate the content designed in Creator in the new Fastr Frontend platform. A successful candidate will keen eye for noticing small details
and be enthusiastic about learning the capabilities of the platforms. The creative and design services team usually has several projects running at a time. This means that some days, you will need to spend a couple of hours on each client project. Other weeks, you could be working on a single project from start to finish, collaborating with the other team members to action different tasks to hit the deadline.
Responsibilities:
- The Jr Visual Designer is responsible for recreating Creator content within Fastr Frontend (our SaaS product) for clients (across multiple industries, but primarily focusing on e-commerce)
- They will enjoy designing in a variety of mediums (Figma, Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator, PenPot, InDesign).
- A passion for designing and delivering effective, eye-catching, on-brand, and on-strategy content for websites.
- Evolve and create key brand elements, including infographics and icon library
- Learn to problem solve through design
- Have an understanding of branding and direct marketing principles
- Design and produce occasional offline communications, including PowerPoint presentations
Qualifications:

- Naturally curious and an understanding of branding
- A degree in visual/graphic design or at least one year of related work experience
- Strong understanding of typography, color, and digital customer experience design (CX)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to give and receive feedback in a critique environment
- A drive to flex and grow your creative skills
- An amazing sense of humor
Must have skills:
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
- Experience in graphic, visual, and CX design
- Experience in using Figma
- Great time management skills
- Creativity is a must!
Nice to have skills:
- Experience in Adobe XD, Sketch, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Premier Pro and/or Rush, and PenPot
- Knowledge of programming languages such as HTML and JavaScript would be
