As a Sales Officer specializing in FMCG sales, specifically focusing on breakfast cereals, snacks, and baby food products, you will be responsible for driving sales, managing distributor relationships, and expanding market presence within your assigned territory. Your primary objective will be to achieve sales targets, increase product visibility, and maintain strong customer relationships to drive business growth.
Responsibilities:
Visit retail shops as per the planned beat on a daily basis.
Interact with retailers to understand their needs, promote products, and secure orders.
Meet with distributors regularly to review sales performance, discuss sales orders, and develop action plans.
Update sales orders promptly and ensure timely delivery to retailers.
Take responsibility for collecting outstanding payments from debtors within the assigned territory.
Maintain accurate records of collections and follow up on overdue payments.
Track and manage stocks in both primary and secondary markets to ensure adequate supply and minimize stockouts.
Coordinate with distributors and retailers to facilitate the liquidation of stocks.
Plan and execute marketing activities such as promotions, product demonstrations, and sampling events to drive sales.
Work closely with the marketing team to implement marketing strategies effectively.
Identify and appoint new distributors to expand the sales network and reach new markets.
Provide support and guidance to distributors and retailers to increase sales and improve product visibility.
Maintain daily tracking and update reports related to sales activities, stock movements, and debtor collections.
Act as the single point of contact (SPOC) for sales and marketing activities in the assigned location.
Handle any additional responsibilities assigned by the manager to support sales and business objectives.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Retail Management, or a related field preferred.
Previous experience (1-2 years) in FMCG sales, particularly in breakfast cereals, snacks, or baby food products, is mandatory.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced retail environment.
Creative flair and attention to detail in designing visually appealing product displays.
Proficiency in English, Hindi, and Marathi languages for effective communication with retailers and distributors.
