Child Caretaker

• We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated caretaker to join our team at Mazhalai Illam
• The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children from 0 to 5 years of age and be committed to ensuring their well-being and development.
• They should be knowledgeable, compassionate and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities :

• Monitor children at all times to ensure their safety.
• Provide daily care and supervision for children.
• Assist children with personal hygiene, including diapering, toilet training, and washing hands.
• Ensure children are fed in a safe and hygienic manner.
• Ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of the childcare environment.
• Clean and sanitize toys, play equipment, and other materials.
• Work collaboratively with other caregivers and staff members to ensure a consistent and high-quality care experience.
• Follow appropriate disciplinary measures as per the guidelines set by Mazhalai Illam.
• Travel with the social worker(s) and other staff members to receive orphan, abandoned or surrendered children and for their other legal / medical purposes, as and when required.

Requirements :

• Diploma / Bachelor’s in child care / nursing or a related field preferred.
• Previous experience working with children is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and accreditation standards.
• Basic understanding of child development and care.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.
• Patience, empathy, and a nurturing attitude.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Experience:

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a child care setting.
• Salary is based on skill and experience.
