CCTV Technician

Job Overview:We are seeking a skilled and experienced CCTV Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems. The CCTV Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the security and safety of our clients' properties by implementing and managing CCTV solutions.

Responsibilities:

Installation and Configuration: Install, program, and configure CCTV systems, including cameras, monitors, recorders, and related equipment according to client specifications and industry standards.

Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting of CCTV systems to ensure optimal performance. Diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.

Upgrades and Expansion: Identify opportunities for system upgrades and expansion to meet client needs. Provide recommendations for equipment and software enhancements.

Quality Control: Conduct quality control checks on completed installations to ensure compliance with company standards and client requirements.

Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all installations, repairs, and maintenance activities. Prepare detailed reports and documentation for clients.

Client Support: Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries, concerns, and service requests promptly and professionally.

Training: Train clients and end-users on the proper operation and maintenance of CCTV systems.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards pertaining to CCTV systems and data privacy.

Safety: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines during installations and maintenance activities to minimize risks.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or training in electronics or security systems is preferred.
• Proven experience as a CCTV Technician or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of CCTV system components, including cameras, DVRs, NVRs, and cabling.
• Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting IP-based CCTV systems.
• Familiarity with various CCTV camera types, such as analog, digital, and PTZ.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to [specify weight] pounds.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Certified CCTV Technician).
