- Build out accounting team from group up
- Migrate the accounting system from QuickBooks to NetSuite or similar accounting software.
- Manage accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll
- Perform financial analysis and forecasting to support decision-making
- Prepare financial statements and reports that accurately reflect the financial status of the company of 150M market cap (TSX listing in process)
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and standards, as well as local, state, and federal regulations
- Manage tax compliance, including the preparation and filing of tax returns
- Supervise and train accounting staff
- Develop and implement financial controls and policies to ensure the integrity of financial data
- Onboard new benefits provider, banking relationships, customers, vendors, employees and other stakeholders
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA certification preferred
- Public accounting reporting experience, international listing a plus
- 5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations
- Experience with financial reporting and analysis
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
