- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities.
- Provide direct instruction to students with disabilities in a range of subject areas.
- Monitor and track student progress and make adjustments to instruction as needed.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to provide updates on student progress and solicit input.
- Participate in the development and implementation of behavior intervention plans for students with disabilities.
- Attend IEP meetings and other meetings related to the education of students with disabilities.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, behavior, and attendance.
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Valid state teaching certification in Special Education.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students with disabilities and their families.
- Knowledge of best practices in special education instruction and assessment.
- Experience with assistive technology and other specialized equipment
