Schedule: Monday-Friday | Dayshift (start time to be determined)

Position Overview: We are looking for an enthusiastic, forward thinking, and highly motivated candidate for the position of Driver Manager to manage a group of drivers within a specific region.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for managing driver performance, route scheduling, equipment maintenance scheduling, and collaborating with all functional groups to meet operational goals.
- Provides leadership and guidance to drivers through frequent communication and face-to-face interactions
- Responsible for conducting driver performance appraisals, training and developing drivers, enforcing company and customer policies, and disseminating general company news and information
- Works with Terminal Manager to achieve proper staffing levels within region
- Responsible for optimizing performance of assigned drivers: On-time pickup and delivery performance; Hours of service compliance; Driver availability and scheduling preferences; Accommodation of special routing needs; Proper Vehicle Inspection Procedures and Reporting.
- Ensures correct use of, and assists with driver training on, company systems (Qualcomm/Omnitracs, Dispatch software, timesheets, etc.) so work performed is accurately represented
- Manages driver schedules by establishing rotations and coordinating with Schedulers
- Maintaining assigned equipment through established preventive maintenance and repair programs in coordination with Fleet Manager
- Ensures compliance with all applicable state, federal, and local laws and regulations
- Reviews and makes recommendations on route design and works to identify and resolve operational issues
- Represents the company at Postal facilities, customer sites, suppliers and vendors within assigned region
- Responsible for coordinating maintenance/cleaning/snow removal for office, yard, and/or parking locations in assigned region
Qualifications:
- 2 years supervisory experience.
- Transportation, supply chain or logistics experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Solid analytical skills.
- Strong work ethic with a professional, positive attitude.
- Creative problem-solving skills and ability to evaluate multiple solutions to make sound decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs.
- High School or equivalent
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include nights and weekends
