EXTERNAL COMPANY WEBSITE www.deckers.com/careers Name of Employer: Deckers Consumer Direct Corporation Position Title: Assistant Buyer Position Location: 100% remote position* reporting to: 123 North Leroux St, Flagstaff, AZ 86001 Hours: Full time/40 hours Summary of Duties: Responsible for aiding in executing and communicating merchandising strategies for the North America Ecommerce business. Work cross functionally with assigned Brand Product team, Marketing team, Wholesale team, DTC (Direct-to-Customer) Planning, Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Performance Marketing and e-Commerce Producers to build assortment plans and execute said plans to deliver set revenue goals. Work with multiple teams in order to plan, buy and manage product that aligns with brand goals, GTM (Go-to-Market) calendars and DTC planning. Attend all GTM meetings with brand to understand brand goals and direction. Provide working forecasts that align brand goals with DTC tops-down plans. Use product knowledge, sales history and trend to build a forecast to deliver financial goals. Input sales plan at style-color level, driving alignment between bottoms-up product plan with a tops-down target plan. Identify risks and work with brand and/or planning to address. Work with online producers to outline seasonal plans identifying key stories, emerging categories, launch timing and exit strategies. *Can work remotely from AZ, CA, CO, IN, MA, MN, NJ, NY, New York City, OR, PA, TX, WA, WI Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Merchandising, Retail Operations, or related field of study and 6 months of experience in corporate retail merchandising and buying. Employer will accept pre- or post-Bachelor’s experience. Applicants must have demonstrated experience with the following: inventory planning, forecasting and inventory management; conducting data analysis to make business insights of data and present findings to direct manager for use in larger analysis; handling deliverables on multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines; and executing and communicating merchandising strategies.
